I was born in Leiden the Netherlands, where my 'music career' has began. At the primary school at the age of eleven I formed a air-guitar band and imagionned we where rockstar's. Later on I wanna play guitar myself. And took classical guitar lessons at age of 13. After three years I got bored and stopped playing.

At high school I formed my first band. Playing guitar afcourse. And bought my first electric guitar and amplifier. With the bassplayer of my first band I formed Referent Joe. Each bandmember had his own influences form Rockabilly oriented music to Van Halen. So the tracklist was an various one. We also wrote our own songs witch was a mix of the unfluences but cleary a rocksound.

From the age off 11-13, I was inspired by bands like Rainbow (my first album), Deep Purple, Led Zepplin. Later on by Van Halen, Iron Maiden, Raven, Metallica and Judas Priest. Arround the 90thies I discoverd Dream Theater and I really got attrackted to progressive rock and metal.

So in the early 90thies I started the band Wons2menny with a friend who desperatley wanted to play drums and we played Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and our own music. After some time the drummer left the band and another drummer joined us. He was inspired by Phil Collins, Pink Floyd and Yes. I believe that was the starting point of what D'lemma is now. Because this drummer introduced prog. rock.

In the music I write I try to create composition witch drags you into different emotions. Allways searching for different styles and approaches. Of course prog. rock and metal, but also jazz, classical music and singersongwriters music (always rock oriented).

Now we are working on a big project called: Cotton Field's. Fred our leadsinger has written the lyrics. It is one big story divided in eight songs. We already have finished three. We hope that end of 2008 we can present the album.
